The Nanogun Airmix® manual electrostatic spray gun combines all the SAMES KREMLIN skills and knowledge for spraying liquid paints at medium and high pressures with additional air. It is perfect for many markets, such as aerospace, agricultural, construction, metallic furnitures, wood, transportation & energy. Nanogun Airmix® is excellent for spraying medium viscosity paints with improved results .
The Nanogun Airmix® makes a difference with its lightweight, ergonomic design & excellent wraparound effect, thus improving the overall operator experience. Paint may be supplied to the Nanogun Airmix® by using a pump. When spraying, the charged paint drops follow the lines of the electric field to the grounded object part. Electrostatics result in paint savings and wraparound effect reducing overspray & pollution. Adding compressed air to it allows enhanced penetration into cavities & a finer spray pattern.
Our electrostatic Nanogun Airmix® sprayer takes advantage of the method of applying coatings to a metal surface which involves the attraction law between positively and negatively charged particles. Just before the atomized paint leaves the tip (also called nozzle), it is given a positive charge. The charged paint droplets are sprayed through a strong electric field. The negatively charged, grounded metal item attracts the positively charged liquid to its surface.
The power of the electric field also influences the force of attraction. After the electric field has been created, the ions follow the field lines towards the negative charge. As the attraction of the electrically charged particles to the grounded surface is so strong, paint drift is reduced. This means a high transfer efficiency with this electrostatic method. Furthermore, the paint droplets are pulled towards surfaces in all directions, so that all sides of target areas are coated. Some particles actually change direction as they are pulled up, down and sideways towards all angles of the objects to be painted. The underside of objects substrates are coated and paint is renowned for reaching around the back of surfaces if an electrostatic painting system is used. The new coatings will even get into small crevasses and this ‘electrostatic wraparound’ makes it an ideal technique to apply paint on hard to reach areas with an improved coverage .
